NFL: Jaguars could be without 3 defensive starters at Texans

JACKSONVILLE — The Jacksonville Jaguars could be without three defensive starters at Houston on Sunday. Coach Doug Marrone listed defensive end Josh Allen (knee), linebacker Myles Jack (ankle) and rookie cornerback CJ Henderson (shoulder) as questionable against the Texans.

Columbia defeated Buchholz in a four-man, one-hole playoff to win the Ann and John Ives Alachua County Championship on Thursday after the teams finished tied with scores of 311. Leading the way for the Tigers was Ty Folsom, who shot a 72 to take medalist honors.

PREP FOOTBALL: Branford-Hilliard canceled by covid issue

BRANFORD — The Branford Buccaneers' focus shifted away from football and onto player and student safety Thursday afternoon. The school announced the cancellation of Friday's home game against Hilliard after discussions with the Suwannee County Health Department.

PREP FOOTBALL: FHSAA unveils playoff brackets, Columbia & Fort White both draw play-in games

The Florida High School Athletic Association released the state playoff brackets on Wednesday and both schools in Columbia County received the bad luck of the draw. Columbia and Fort White will both have to play in the play-in round on Nov.

PREP SWIMMING: Columbia, Suwannee split victories on Senior Night

Columbia’s girls defeated Suwannee 73-45 on Senior Night, while the SHS boys came away with a 79-56 win. Individual winners for Columbia’s girls included Mackenzie Conklin (2:10.87 in 200 free, 5:41.93 in 500 free), Kaydence Clark (2:41.37 in 200 IM, 1:08.
