COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Florida's Mullen joins players in testing positive for virus

GAINESVILLE — Florida coach Dan Mullen, who last week wanted 90,000 fans packed inside the stadium amid a pandemic, says he has tested positive for covid-19. Mullen made the announcement Saturday on Twitter, saying his initial positive result was confirmed by a second test.

Once again, Columbia’s offense struggled to score. And once again, Lee proved to be the better team. The Tigers turned the ball over six times while Cale Zarah threw four touchdowns passes for the Generals, who rolled to a 38-21 victory at Tiger Stadium on Friday night.

PREP FOOTBALL: Suwannee shuts out Wakulla, seals win with marathon drive

LIVE OAK — After barely seeing the field in the third quarter, Suwannee’s offense more than made up for it in the fourth. Gaining possession to open the final period Friday at Langford Stadium, the Bulldogs didn’t give Wakulla the ball back until there was just 1:23 remaining.

PREP FOOTBALL: Baldwin beats Fort White for second straight season

FORT WHITE — An aggressive Baldwin defense created problems all night for Fort White’s inexperienced offensive line. Baldwin’s no-huddle offense was also pretty impressive. The result was a fourth straight loss for FWHS in a 40-0 blowout defeat Friday at Arrowhead Stadium.
