NFL: Bucs top Packers to reach Super Bowl

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Tom Brady has a new team, in a new town. The destination is the same: another Super Bowl. At home, too. The man with six NFL titles will become the first quarterback to play a Super Bowl on his team’s home field.

WRESTLING: Columbia finishes runner-up at Tiger Duals

Columbia finished runner-up at the Tigers Duals on Saturday, falling to Bloomingdale 51-21 in the championship. The Tigers won their previous four duals of the day, defeating Union County 47-30, University Christian 35-21, Ocala Forest 51-30 and Westside 48-30.

TALLAHASSEE — Florida State had two weeks to stew on a Dec. 29 loss at Clemson when they're season was interrupted by coronavirus protocols, and the Seminoles took the chance to re-evaluate and fine-tune. They're certainly rolling now, winning four straight games — three of them by double figures.

GIRLS WEIGHTLIFTING: Suwannee tops Branford & Fort White for third straight district title, Columbia finishes runner-up in District 4-2A

Suwannee has hit the district trifecta. For the third straight year, the SHS girls weightlifting team won the District 4-1A title in convincing fashion Friday at the SHS gym. The Lady Bulldogs won nine of the 10 weight classes to total 112 points on the way to their latest district title.

ATLANTA — Hank Aaron, who endured racist threats with stoic dignity during his pursuit of Babe Ruth’s home run record and gracefully left his mark with 755 homers and a legacy as one of baseball’s greatest all-around players, died Friday. He was 86.
