PREP TRACK & FIELD: Columbia coach Lawrence Davis to hold meeting in hopes of upgrading school’s track

Lawrence Davis is in the second season of his second stint as Columbia’s track & field coach. The first was from 1991-1993. Back then, the school had an asphalt track. Today? It’s the exact same and it’s condition has degraded.

PREP BASEBALL: Santa Fe mercy-rules Columbia in five innings

ALACHUA — Sometimes the wheels just fall off. Such is baseball.  For Columbia on Friday night, the wheels just all happened to fall off at the same time.  The Tigers fell to Santa Fe in the two rivals’ second and final regular season meeting in a 10-0 run-rule loss on the Raiders’ senior night.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Missouri hangs on for 1st win at Florida

GAINESVILLE — Dru Smith scored the game-winner, banking a baseline drive reverse layup off the glass with 0.7 seconds on the clock and Missouri held on to defeat Florida 72-70 on Wednesday night for the Tigers' first-ever win in Gainesville.
