JACKSONVILLE — Jacksonville Jaguars coach Doug Pederson may need to consider changes to his defensive staff following the season. Maybe even sooner. The Jaguars (4-8) are well on their way to becoming the NFL’s worst defense, and there doesn’t seem to be an explanation for the sudden decline.

Columbia’s wrestling team placed fifth as a team at the Cam Brown Invitational at Florida High on Saturday. Jayden Thomas won his weight class at 132 pounds to lead the boys, while Carlee Morrison won the 145 class in the girls division with three pins.

DETROIT — Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars followed up their best performance of the year with their worst in a 40-14 loss Sunday to the Detroit Lions. Lawrence had an injury scare at the end of the first half but finished the game, completing 17 of 31 passes for 179 yards.
