LIVE OAK ­— Columbia placed third in the Olympic and fourth in the traditional at the District 3-2A meet on Friday, which was hosted by Yulee at Suwannee High School.

Paxon won both team titles.

Sakiya Merriex led the Tigers with a first-place finish in Olympic in the 101 class with a 160-pound total to clinch an automatic bid to regionals. She also placed second in the traditional with a 195 total.

The rest of Columbia’s lifters will have to wait and find out if they receive an at-large bid to regionals.
