BOYS BASKETBALL: Columbia finishes on 20-4 run to pull away from Buchholz

How quickly does a tie game turn into a blowout? The answer was less than four minutes Wednesday night. Columbia took a contest that was knotted at 52 with Buchholz and furiously pulled away with a 13-0 run before finishing the game on a 20-4 tear to come away with a 71-56 win at home.

PREP FOOTBALL: Columbia's Ferrell, Lafayette's Watkins to play for Edwards in FACA All-Star Classic

Football season lasts one more week for one area coach and two players. Lafayette head coach Marcus Edwards will serve as an assistant next week on the North squad for the FACA’s 67th North/South All-Star Classic. The game is set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at The Villages Charter School.
