JACKSONVILLE — The Jacksonville Jaguars usually mess it up. They fired Tom Coughlin too soon. They kept Jack Del Rio, Gus Bradley and Doug Marrone too long. They gambled on Urban Meyer, Nick Foles, David Garrard and countless others, and almost always got burned.

BOYS BASKETBALL: Columbia forces 24 turnovers to rout sloppy Baker County for district win

GLEN ST. MARY — Columbia was sloppy at times, but it didn’t matter. Baker County was sloppier. Way sloppier. Thanks to their press defense that helped force 24 turnovers, the FHSAA Class 5A No. 9 Tigers routed the Wildcats 75-53 on the road Friday night.

PREP FOOTBALL: Woodley resigns as Columbia's defensive coordinator

John Woodley resigned as Columbia’s defensive coordinator Friday after four seasons in the role. Woodley released a statement on Twitter announcing his decision, which he called one of the most difficult of his coaching career.

MEN'S COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Georgia coach Mike White back to Gainesville to face Gators

Mike White knows it will be a bit strange going back to the Southeastern Conference school where he coached the last seven seasons. The Georgia coach is doing his best to stay locked in as the Bulldogs prepare to face Florida on Saturday. “It's a unique game,” White said Friday in Athens.
