GIRLS BASKETBALL: Columbia cruises past Oak Hall on Senior Night to climb back to .500

November’s meeting between Columbia and Oak Hall went down to the wire. The Tigers squeaked by with a one-point win, a game a little too close for comfort. When teams met again for Round 2 on Friday night, Columbia had a different strategy. That was a 2-3 zone. It worked to perfection.

PREP WRESTLING: Suwannee edges Bay, Wakulla to win sub-regional duals title

LIVE OAK — For the second straight week, Suwannee recorded a first. After winning the program’s first district duals title last week, the Bulldogs grappled past Bay and Wakulla at SHS on Thursday for their first sub-regional duals title and their first state appearance.

PREP FOOTBALL: Demetric Jackson resigns as Columbia head coach after 2 seasons

Demetric Jackson resigned Thursday as Columbia’s football coach and boys weightlifting coach after two seasons. The decision comes after Jackson led the Tigers to a Class 3S state semifinal this season, the program’s first trip to the Final Four since 2015.
