FORT WHITE — The good times keep rolling for Fort White after a seemingly shaky start to the season. The Indians rode the efforts of N’Coreyia Atkins and Isreal Hart on Monday night and did just enough to prevent one last shot from Suwannee to just eke out a 35-34 win in their home gym.

Columbia’s wrestling team placed fourth at the Tiger Duals on Saturday, with Clay taking home the title. Undefeated individuals for the Tigers included Jayden Thomas in the 138 class and Alex Ulloa in the 145 class. Head coach Pete Whittington also picked up his 100th dual win.

One of the biggest keys entering the season for Columbia was finding some more help to take the offensive load off of Isaac Broxey. The Tigers found plenty of it on Friday. All head coach Steve Faulkner had to do was look down his bench.

Florida Gateway College currently has 17 players added to the roster of its newly revived softball, which will begin competing in the fall of 2023. Softball is returning after a 15-year hiatus at FGC, which hired former Columbia High coach Jimmy Williams to lead the program.
