COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Florida State runs past Louisiana

TALLAHASSEE — Florida State’s starters could smile and enjoy a sixth win by 25 or more points this season. Jordan Travis and Treshaun Ward each had a pair of touchdown runs in the first half and Florida State ran for 251 yards, routing Louisiana 49-17 on Saturday.

HILLIARD — The Hornets last lost a game in the first week of October. That 23-21 defeat at Fort White seems like a lifetime ago to them now. Lafayette trounced Hilliard 31-13 in its Region 3-1R semifinal in a game that wasn’t all that close.
