PREP BASEBALL: Davis shines on Senior Night, Suwannee topples Rickards

LIVE OAK — Senior Night couldn’t have gone better for Suwannee’s lone 12th-grader. PJ Davis connected for a pair of triples along with two RBIs and a run scored as the Class 4A No. 8 Bulldogs kept their winning ways Tuesday night, overcoming an early deficit to take down Rickards 7-4.

PREP BASEBALL: McKenzie returns to form, helps Columbia beat The Villages Charter

OCALA — It was never going to be easy to return to form following an offseason elbow injury, but Columbia pitcher Trayce McKenzie finally began to look like himself on the mound Tuesday afternoon. That was bad news for The Villages Charter.

PREP SOFTBALL: Columbia knocks off Class 6A No. 10 Oakleaf

The pressure was on Columbia pitcher Kinley King. Amya Mirelez had just hit a 2-RBI double to pull Oakleaf within a run, and it started to feel like déjà vu again for the Tigers. Columbia was once again up on a team ranked in the top-10 with a lead slipping away in the seventh inning.
