PREP CROSS COUNTRY: CHS boys place ninth, girls finish 11th at Middleburg Bronco Classic

    Joshua Thompson was once again Columbia’s top runner on Saturday, finishing 34th overall in a time of 18:22.00 to help the boys squad place ninth out of 21 teams at the Middleburg Bronco Classic.

    Also scoring for the CHS boys were Nathan Matsubara in 39th (18:40.50), John Ringenberg in 55th (19:04.10), Brandyn Pope in 59th (19:10.70) and LaWarren Newton in 130th (22:07.20).

    The CHS girls finished 11th out of 20 teams, led by Reese Todd in 66th (24:03.40). Todd was followed by Laelle Thompson in 81st (24:41.30), Kiara Thompson in 97th (26:12.50), Kensi Shaw in 109th (26:33.40) and Murphy Todd in 110th (26:40.40).
