The new Lake City Reporter Athlete of the Week poll is live for Aug. 26-31.
Each week the LCR's news staff will put together a collection of the the top performers from the week for you to vote on. Nominees are derived from scores and stats uploaded to MaxPreps, sent in by coaches and from games attended by the LCR's reporters. Readers can then vote in the online poll to determine who the Athlete of the Week will be.
Polls are posted at lakecityreporter.com each weekend and voting ends noon Wednesday of each week. The winner will be announced in the Thursday edition of the LCR as well as online.

Here are the nominees for this week:
— Chris Smith, Fort White football: had an interception and a 40-yard kick return to set up TD while making several plays in backfield for a defense that allowed zero points in a 41-6 win over Belleview
— MJ Rossin, Suwannee football: caught five passes for 80 yards and a TD in a 21-14 win over Lafayette
— Jordan Murphy, Lafayette football: caught six passes for 158 yards and a TD, tallied 78 yards on 4 kick returns in a 21-14 loss to Suwannee
— Carter Cannon, Suwannee boys golf: shot a 73 to place third overall at the Ancient City Classic
— Brooke Lamb, Lafayette volleyball: combined for 32 kills, 37 digs and 8 aces in three wins for the Hornets, who improved to 6-0
— Sinei Wood, Columbia volleyball: combined for 29 kills, 32 digs and a pair of aces in wins over Keystone Heights and Dixie County
