Branford’s softball team rolled to a 15-1 run-rule win over Bradford in five innings on the road Monday night. Mallory Blue hit a grand slam while Cloey Criggall and Ellie Frierson also homered for the Buccaneers (11-3), who won their fifth straight.

PREP SOFTBALL: Fort White falls to University Christian in Tournament of Champions finale

Fort White dropped its finale at the Oakleaf’s Tournament of Champions on Saturday, losing to Class 2A defending state champion University Christian 5-1. Kadence Compton surrendered five earned runs in the first inning, which was all the Christians (7-2) needed to pick up the win.

LIVE OAK — Suwannee was the top dog at its own invitational. The Bulldogs won the traditional and Olympic events at the Bulldog Invitational on Friday, tallying 62 points in traditional and 67 in Olympic to finish ahead of runner-up Leesburg’s final totals of 41 and 46.

SOFTBALL — Columbia 18, Riverside 0: Emily Delgado hit a grand slam as part of a 2-for-3, 5-RBI night and Luisa Taylor hit a solo shot on a 2-for-3 game to lead the Tigers (4-6) to a run-rule victory in three innings over the Generals (1-4) on the road.
