SOFTBALL

— Trenton 2, Branford 1: Payten Bates’ RBI single tied the game in the fifth inning but the Class 1A No. 1 Tigers (12-1) scored a run off Laila Arnold in the top of the sixth to take down the Class 1A No. 5 Buccaneers (14-4) at BHS. That RBI knock was the lone hit of the night for BHS, which struck out 19 times against THS pitcher Addison Allaire. Arnold pitched a complete game in the loss for the Bucs, allowing one earned run on four hits and three walks while striking out seven.

BASEBALL

— Trenton 4, Fort White 3: The Tigers (7-9) scored four runs off Matthew Pitts in the first three innings and the Indians (7-7) couldn’t rally in time as they lost at home. All four runs were earned against Pitts, who lasted four innings where he allowed eight hits and four walks while striking out three. Patrick Kennedy and Carson Capallia each had a double and an RBI for FWHS, while Kenton Haase added an RBI knock in the loss as well.
