FWHS sends off close-knit graduates

FORT WHITE — The Class of 2021 may be the smallest graduating class in FWHS Principal Keith Couey’s 10 years at the school. But that small group of 93 that were celebrated Friday night with commencement at Arrowhead Stadium is also one that shares a tight bond.

LIVE OAK — For the second time this spring, the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office is on the lookout for cattle rustlers. Nineteen head of “good shape, high-end commercial Brangus” were stolen in April or May from a farm off 171st Road in western Suwannee County.

Folk Festival returns

WHITE SPRINGS — For the past nearly seven decades, celebrating all the different aspects of Florida’s culture has taken place here at the annual Florida Folk Festival.

Rotary leads way with truck donation drive

The Lake City Regional Office of Catholic Charities had a need and the Lake City Rotary Club stepped in to shed light on the issue and provide as much assistance as possible.

Reigning cats & dogs: Humane Society hosts inaugural fashion show

It’s inevitable… Sometimes a good event just goes to the dogs. Lucky for the Lake City-Columbia County Humane Society, the event and its proceeds not only went to the dogs, but the cats and other animals, nurtured by the local agency.

More than 100 flags, crosses placed in Columbia Co. ahead of Memorial Day
