NFL: Bengals look for momentum against Meyer, winless Jaguars

CINCINNATI — The Jacksonville Jaguars are desperate for a win. The Cincinnati Bengals are learning how to be a winning team. The Jaguars are 0-3 under first-year NFL coach Urban Meyer, who didn’t lose much in 17 years as a college head coach. The Bengals are 2-1 for the first time since 2018.

PREP VOLLEYBALL: Columbia sweeps Fort White on Senior Night behind Oliver, Thomson

It was your typical Columbia-Fort White volleyball match on Tuesday night. Another sweep for the Tigers. Columbia took care of Fort White 3-0 (25-12, 25-11, 25-9) on Senior Night at the Richardson Sixth Grade Academy after celebrating seniors Brandi Oliver and Danielle Thomson before the match.

COMMENTARY: Columbia’s offense is wasting talent, becoming unwatchable

What was once an explosive offense just two seasons ago has turned into one that’s, well, a little offensive. Columbia’s offense struggled to move the ball Friday night in a 26-13 loss to Trinity Christian much like it did against Bolles a few weeks back.

PREP FOOTBALL NOTEBOOK: Indians pull off balancing act, Bucs in another hole and Bulldogs eye course correction

Leading up to Friday’s win over Branford, Fort White wasn’t just a run-first team — it was practically a run-only team. And why would any coach change that fact after going 2-1 to start the season while putting up staggering rushing numbers?

ANALYSIS: Failed flea-flicker dooms Jags, leads to 18th straight loss

JACKSONVILLE — Jacksonville Jaguars coach Urban Meyer admittedly had reservations about the trick play even though he didn't overrule it. It turned out to be an epic failure that led to Jacksonville's 18th consecutive loss.
