LCPD searching for man who tried to clean out the cleaners

The Lake City Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify a man who was caught on surveillance video during a burglary at a local cleaners this past weekend. The burglary was reported 9:15 a.m. Sunday at Gateway Cleaners, 1101 West U.S. Highway 90 in Suite 110.

'Awesome feeling': Paramedic helps waitress during epileptic seizure

One thought stayed on Dawn Wilkerson’s mind as she writhed on the floor — somebody really needed to pick up the knife that fell under the stove.  It was a silly thing to fixate on, but it kept her grounded during the seizure long enough for professional help to arrive.

Seven show interest in Lake Shore

The proposals are in and there are seven parties interested in operating Lake Shore Hospital. Dale Williams, Lake Shore Hospital Authority Executive Director, said five of the responses were received prior to the 10 a.m. Monday deadline.
