Report: Caught trying to trade-in stolen car

A homeless man was looking to make a deal at a Lake City car dealership Monday. Timothy Wolfe, 50, pulled in to the Lake City Chrysler Dodge Jeep around 7:25 p.m. Monday hoping to trade in his current vehicle, according to a release from the Lake City Police Department. There was one problem.

A 68-year-old man was taken to a local hospital Monday morning after the electric scooter he was riding on was struck by a vehicle exiting a U.S. Highway 90 business. The incident occurred at 11:36 a.m. near the Lake City Mall at the First Federal Bank exit.
