LIVE OAK — The odds are not in Suwannee’s favor. Not only have the Bulldogs never before rallied from a 1-4 start to make the postseason, but they’ve never responded from that kind of start to post a .500 record or better.

BRANFORD — The weekend for Branford is looking murkier than Hurricane Milton’s path. As of Tuesday evening, head coach Tim Clark said he was still in contact with Stanton Prep athletic director Chris Crider, looking for solutions to this Friday’s scheduled game.

VOLLEYBALL — Columbia 3, Lafayette 0: Behind 13 kills, 18 digs and four aces from Sinei Wood, 10 kills from Kayla Goodloe, and eight kills apiece from Adriauna Combs and Cassidy O’Neal, the Tigers (13-8) swept the Class Rural No. 2 Hornets (16-3) 25-12, 26-24, 25-14 at home on Senior Night.

With Hurricane Milton barreling toward Florida, Columbia is in standby mode. The Tigers’ District 3-4A contest against Ridgeview set for this Friday at Tiger Stadium is currently on as scheduled, but that’s dependent on how much damage Milton causes in Columbia and Clay counties.
