PREP FOOTBALL: Fort White focused on improving, not revenge against Union County

FORT WHITE — At first glance, revenge would appear to be the storyline for Fort White heading into Friday’s matchup at Union County. After all, it was just last November the Tigers ended the Indians’ season with a 17-10 victory in the regional semifinals.

BOYS GOLF — Columbia 179, Gainesville 204: Trenton Kirby and Valin Capen were co-medalists with a pair of 44s to lead the Tigers over the Hurricanes at The Country Club of Lake City. Cooper Willis added a 45 and Adyn Petit finished with a 46 to round out the scoring for CHS.

PREP FOOTBALL: CHS LB Chris Jordan's injury not serious, ruled high-ankle sprain

The Columbia Tigers didn’t catch many breaks in Friday’s loss to Madison County, but they did get one this weekend. After suffering what was feared to be a serious injury in that 18-13 defeat, further tests this weekend showed that linebacker Chris Jordan only suffered a high-ankle sprain.
