PREP TRACK & FIELD: Renovated Suwannee High track renamed Ron Hall Track and Field Complex

LIVE OAK — Suwannee High’s new track will also have a new name. The Suwannee County School Board unanimously approved at its meeting Tuesday night to name the renovated track at SHS as the Ron Hall Track and Field Complex after the school’s legendary track coach.

Columbia’s girls swim team topped Baker County, Hilliard and Union County in a quad match, while the boys finished third. The Tigers won seven events, all from the girls team. Individual victories included Brie Fair in the 100 backstroke (1:14.17) and 100 breaststroke (1:22.

BAXLEY, Ga. — The opportunity to win the program’s first game in Georgia was within Suwannee’s fingertips Friday night. The Bulldogs had taken advantage of a short field to pull within one score at Jimmy Swain Stadium with 2:24 left in the third.
