WEWAHITCHKA — Coming off an opening-week loss is never easy for any team, let alone one that had to travel three hours to play Week 2. That didn’t seem to deter Branford. The Bucs (1-1) came away with a 28-14 win against Wewahitchka (0-2) after being down by a score at halftime.

LIVE OAK — Suwannee isn’t alone in believing the Bulldogs are close to an offensive breakthrough. Lafayette head coach Marcus Edwards, whose Hornets will make the short trip from Mayo to Langford Stadium for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff Friday, agrees that Suwannee has the pieces to be a dangerous offense.
