FORT WHITE — Everyone that Fort White coach Demetric Jackson had his eye on heading into Thursday night’s Preseason Classic against North Florida Educational Institute performed up to expectations.  And then some.

An MRI revealed that Columbia starting quarterback Xavier Collins suffered an MCL sprain in his right knee, which he injured at the end of Monday’s practice.

PREP FOOTBALL: Columbia defense dominating, offense struggling during second week of camp

Columbia finally put on pads Wednesday after Hurricane Debby delayed the process by two days. The defense won the day, then did so again Thursday. The unit continues to get the best of the offense as the season inches closer to kickoff.
