VOLLEYBALL — Columbia 3, Baker County 0: Sinei Wood had 15 kills and 14 digs, Avery Sandlin had 22 digs, and Mylie Fernandez tallied 35 assists to lead the Tigers (7-2) to a 25-16, 25-15, 25-21 sweep over the Wildcats (5-1) on the road.

There were promising signs from Columbia’s offense in Friday’s 20-0 win against Hillsborough. Zamarion Jones looked more comfortable at quarterback, receiver Bynton Edge finally got involved in the passing game, but perhaps more importantly, the offensive line showed signs of gelling.

LIVE OAK — It’s a new week and a totally different challenge for Suwannee’s defense. After getting dominated by Madison County’s rushing attack last Friday, the Bulldogs will face a dangerous passing game Friday in Tallahassee against Godby in the Division 2-3A opener.
