Suwannee volleyball player Jordyn Chandler was voted by the readers as the LCR Athlete of the Week for Oct. 14-19.
Chandler received 166 of the 344 votes (48%) cast through 4 p.m. Wednesday in our online poll after helping the Bulldogs win their first district title since 2016, delivering 23 kills and five aces in a come-from-behind 3-2 win over Wakulla. She finished ahead of Suwannee running back JaDarius Horne (27%), Lafayette quarterback Tywan Williamson (9%), Suwannee cross country runner Ryleigh Hermanson (8%) and Branford volleyball player Lalyn Sikes (7%).
The next poll will be online this weekend. Nominees will be chosen from scores and stats uploaded to MaxPreps, sent in by coaches and from games attended by the LCR's reporters. Coaches can also send in nominees to jkroeger@lakecityreporter.com.
