HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS — Suwannee junior Ryan Donaldson entered Saturday’s second round of the Class 2A state tournament both frustrated and optimistic. Despite not being pleased with how she played Friday at Mission Inn Resort and Club, Donaldson sat just one stroke off the lead.

TALLAHASSEE — The Suwannee girls cross country team placed 23rd out of 32 teams at the Class 2A state meet Saturday at Apalachee Regional Park, while the boys placed 31st out of 32 teams. Leading the girls was Olivia Hermanson, who placed 29th out of 237 runners with a time of 19:47.7.
