PREP ROUNDUP: CHS girls bounce back to beat Branford in golf

Columbia’s girls golf team defeated Branford 159-272 on Thursday at Quail Heights. Reece Chasteen took medalist honors with a 36 while Payton Gainey and Callie Harrington both carded a 38. Kayla Hardy and Ashley Nelson rounded out the scoring for the Lady Tigers with a pair of 47’s.

LIVE OAK — Scoring as many points as it ran offensively, not much was wrong with the Suwannee High offense in its opener last week. However, the Bulldogs still have room for improvement heading into tonight’s visit to rival Hamilton County. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
