BELL — After a disappointing first half on offense, the Branford Buccaneers got rolling early in the third quarter against rival Bell. A dominant rushing attack, some big plays and a mistake-free second half led Branford to a 28-6 road victory.

Columbia’s girls golf team defeated Branford 159-272 on Thursday at Quail Heights. Reece Chasteen took medalist honors with a 36 while Payton Gainey and Callie Harrington both carded a 38. Kayla Hardy and Ashley Nelson rounded out the scoring for the Lady Tigers with a pair of 47’s.
