TALLAHASSEE — Mike Norvell has a relatively easy act to follow. Norvell’s first season at Florida State should be an upgrade from the Willie Taggart era, which was one of college football’s biggest coaching debacles in recent years.

NFL: Jaguars sign veteran QB Mike Glennon to practice squad

JACKSONVILLE — The Jacksonville Jaguars signed quarterback Mike Glennon to their practice squad Monday, adding a veteran under the NFL's revamped roster rules. Glennon and defensive lineman Caraun Reid will earn $12,000 a week under a setup altered because of the coronavirus pandemic.

PREP FOOTBALL: Fort White finalizes 2020 schedule, will open season at Santa Fe

FORT WHITE — With less than two weeks away from kickoff, Fort White has finalized its 2020 football schedule. The Indians will open the season on Sept. 18 on the road against Santa Fe at 7 p.m. The Raiders won in Fort White last season 10-0.

NFL: Jaguars turn to young committee to replace Leonard Fournette

JACKSONVILLE — As stunning as Leonard Fournette’s departure was from Jacksonville, his replacement might be equally surprising. And it could change weekly. The Jaguars are planning to employ a running back-by-committee approach when the season begins Sept. 13 against Indianapolis.
