Columbia’s defense did all it could, forcing three turnovers to set up 17 points. But without the help from its defense, the offense struggled. The Tigers couldn’t match St. Augustine long drive for long drive and it ultimately ended their season.

LIVE OAK — Jaquez Moore’s belief in himself never wavered. Even though the major offers didn’t start rolling in for the Suwannee athlete, Moore knew who and what he was. “I’ve always felt like I could honestly be one of the best players in the country,” Moore said Friday after committing to Duke.

TALLAHASSEE — Florida State showed its depth as the defending Atlantic Coast Conference champion Seminoles opened their season with a resounding victory. M.J. Walker scored 17 points and Balsa Koprivica added 13 as No. 22 Florida State beat North Florida 86-58 on Wednesday night.
