TRENTON — The Branford girls huddled on the sideline one last time in Monday’s Region 3-1A final. They’d been aggressively pursuing their full-court press deep into the second half with mixed results but had gotten several stops along the way.

Columbia missed a shot at history with its loss to Lincoln in the District 2-6A championship. But the Tigers can still accomplish a program feat that hasn’t been done in 20 years. That’s win a playoff game. They get their shot tonight.

NFL: Jags add 3 to personnel staff, including Davis, MacCracken

JACKSONVILLE — The Jacksonville Jaguars added to their personnel staff Tuesday by hiring Michael Davis as senior personnel executive, Trip MacCracken as director of roster management and Drew Hughes as player personnel coordinator. All three will report to general manager Trent Baalke.
