JACKSONVILLE — The Jacksonville Jaguars ended the NFL’s longest losing streak in nearly 45 years by winning in London last month. They topped that with a stunning victory against Super Bowl favorite Buffalo on Sunday that resulted in their first celebration on American soil in 420 days.

GAINESVILLE — Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson, recovering from a concussion, injured a knee dancing in the team hotel the night before losing at South Carolina. Coach Dan Mullen said Monday that Richardson was “gimping around” the football facility Monday.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Florida fires veteran assistants Grantham, Hevesy

GAINESVILLE — Florida fired defensive coordinator Todd Grantham and offensive line coach John Hevesy on Sunday, parting with the two assistants one day after a 40-17 loss at South Carolina. Coach Dan Mullen made the moves official Monday.

PREP FOOTBALL: Florida High delivers knockout blow to Suwannee's season

TALLAHASSEE – Suwannee dreary season came to a conclusion under fittingly dismal conditions Friday night. Playing through a steady rain storm in the windy mid-40s at Mike Hickman Field, the Bulldogs fell 35-8 to host Florida High. It ended the Bulldogs’ season at 3-7.

PREP ROUNDUP: Suwannee boys headed to state for first time in program history

Suwannee’s boys cross country team made history Friday morning. The Bulldogs placed eighth at the Region 1-2A Meet at New World Golf in Jacksonville to qualify for state for the first time as a team in program history. Jesse Cushman helped lead them there, placing a team-best 26th in 17:35.
