GIRLS BASKETBALL: Columbia tops P.K. Yonge in opener called early due to injury

The season opener was cut short, but Columbia still walked away with a win over P.K. Yonge. The Tigers led 41-23 victory when the game was called with 51 seconds left in the third quarter following a scary injury to Blue Wave guard Illayzia Wilcox.

Suwannee's girls basketball team topped Wakulla 51-15 on the road Monday night in the teams' season opener. V’kaylynn Ward scored a game-high 20 points for the Bulldogs (1-0), while Janiah Mitchell and Amyah Jones each added nine points to take down the War Eagles (0-1).
