COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri quarterback Connor Bazelak heard boos from the home fans as he trotted to the sideline after fruitless drives Saturday. It was nothing but cheers after he lofted a 2-point conversion pass to Daniel Parker Jr. to lift the Tigers to a 24-23 overtime victory over Florida.

NFL: Jaguars try to end 13-game skid vs. NFC when they host 49ers

JACKSONVILLE — Jacksonville has extended and ended several losing streaks this season. This one remains: The Jaguars (2-7) have dropped 13 consecutive games against the NFC, a three-year-plus skid that includes losses to teams from every division in the other conference.

GIRLS BASKETBALL: Major, Gall lead Fort White past Branford for district win

FORT WHITE — Jacovya Major finished Thursday’s game the way she started it: Picking the pockets of Branford ball handlers. Major poked away a pair of steals before making the opening bucket in Thursday night’s 39-25 win over the District 6-1A rival Buccaneers.

COLLEGE CROSS COUNTRY: FGC places 11th at NJCAA Division II National Championships

Florida Gateway College placed 11th at the NJCAA Division II National Championships on Saturday with a team average of 21:31. Forty-nine teams from across the country were represented at the competition in Richmond, VA, with 26 sending full teams for scoring.
