BOYS BASKETBALL — Newberry 69, Fort White 62: Despite 17 points apiece from Brandon DeMartino and Garrett Brady, the Class 1A No. 10 Indians (14-5) had their nine-game winning streak snapped by the Class 1A No. 6 Panthers (19-4) on the road Friday night in District 6-1A action.

ALACHUA — The night began with a special ceremony for Santa Fe guard Dontrell Jenkins. The Raiders presented him with a framed jersey after he recently reached 1,000 points in his career.
