HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS — After a strong finish to Tuesday’s opening round, Suwannee sophomore Ryan Donaldson entered the final round of the Class 2A state tournament confident about her chances. Then came a second straight poor front nine at Mission Inn Resort and Club as Donaldson shot a 3-over-74.

PREP FOOTBALL: Columbia drops in final rankings, gets playoff game at Choctawhatchee

One long road trip has led to another for Columbia. Friday’s 31-10 loss to Vero Beach dropped the Tigers (4-5) a spot to sixth in the final Region 1-3S rankings released Sunday, setting them up with a road contest at No. 3 Choctawhatchee (8-2) in the regional quarterfinals this upcoming Friday.
