Columbia’s girls wrestling team placed three wrestlers in the top three at the Ricky Gullet Invitational at Bayshore High School on Saturday.
Carlee Morrison (155 class) and Josie Raulerson (235) both took second place, while Bella Guerrier-Lajoir (115) placed third.
BOYS BASKETBALL
— Hilliard 78, Fort White 43: CJ Hall had a double-double with 22 points and 16 rebounds while Malcolm Warthen added 17 points to lead the Class 1A No. 4 Red Flashes (16-2) to a blowout win over the No. 3 Indians (12-4) at home Saturday night. Jayden Jackson led FWHS with 11 points and Brandon DeMartino had 10 points.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
— Rickards 53, Columbia 35: Despite 14 points from Mariah Cox and 11 from Jolena Gardner, the Tigers (11-7) fell to the Raiders (14-4) on the road Saturday afternoon in District 2-5A action. Amirahs Hayes scored 16 points and Genesis Henry had 14 for Rickards.
