Ian’s cleanup deals generate new storm

Lafayette schools electrify bus fleet

MAYO — The Lafayette County School District’s bus fleet received a jolt Wednesday. The district was one of 400 spanning all 50 states and Washington D.C. to receive grants to purchase “clean” school buses under a new federal program through the Environmental Protection Agency.

FDLE seeks help in solving 1974 Dixie County murder

CROSS CITY — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is hoping to soon shut the book on one of the oldest active homicide cases in the state and the oldest in Dixie County. FDLE agents are continuing to pursue leads in the 1974 homicide of 24-year-old James Norris, a California man.
