4-H youths’ imagination sparked at Inventors Camp

Summer learning has continued for Lafayette County 4-H through weekly day camps. One recent camp generating a lot of interest was 4-H Inventors Camp.

An inmate at the Florida State Prison in Raiford faces new charges for acts committed in custody. Jaquaon Polk, 22, has been charged with mutilating, committing sexual abuse or otherwise grossly abuse of a deceased body on May 23, 2022.

Son sentenced two years for firearm silencers

JACKSONVILLE — A Live Oak man faces two years in federal prison for making and selling unregistered firearm silencers. Greg Eward, 25, was sentenced Monday by U.S. District Judge Marcia Morales Howard to two years in prison and three years of supervised release.

Suwannee sets sights on Somoa

Trump faces new charges in classified documents case

New charges — and a new defendant — added to the classified documents case against former President Donald Trump underscore how the Mar-a-Lago investigation is still very much ongoing, even as the focus has been on an expected indictment in a separate case related to the 2020 election.

TALLAHASSEE — Each summer, Florida 4-H offers 4-H Legislature, which is an opportunity for teen 4-H members to have a “learning by doing” experience in state government. Lafayette County 4-H member Trey Galbraith recently participated in the event held at the Florida State Capitol.
