Live Oak sex offender arrested for child porn

A Live Oak sexual offender is back in custody for possessing child sex abuse images. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida announced the arrest of Steven Carty, 55, on Monday. Carty was arrested in Suwannee County on Thursday.

30th anniversary Jam less than a month away

LIVE OAK — The party returns in less than a month. The 30th anniversary edition of the Suwannee River Jam returns to the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park on Sept. 20-23, bringing big names as well as familiar local faces to the celebration.

Pair reappointed to SRWMD governing board

Two Suwannee River Water Management District board members were reappointed Friday. Gov. Ron DeSantis reappointed William Lloyd of High Springs and Richard Schwab of Perry to the district’s governing board. Lloyd is the vice president of Suwannee Valley Feeds, LLC.

DeSantis orders storm preparations
