Councilman Chris Greene resigned his seat on the Lake City Council on Thursday morning. In a one-sentence letter received by the city at 9:08 a.m. Thursday, Greene tendered his resignation, effective immediately.

Partnership: More foster families needed

More foster families are needed in Columbia County. The  Partnership For Strong Families announced that roughly 100 more children are utilizing the agency’s services compared to traditionally as agency representatives requested continued funding and legislative support for new services.
