Chamber looking for new director

The Lake City-Columbia County Chamber of Commerce is looking for a new executive director. Chamber President Brandon Beil announced Tuesday that the board had accepted Theresa Pinto’s resignation, effective May 31.

Olustee battle ends: County commission approves deeding park back to city

The battle for Olustee Park is over. On Thursday evening, Columbia County officials voted in favor of conveying park ownership to the City of Lake City through a statutory county deed, with the stipulation that the Battle of Olustee Confederate monument not be destroyed.

It’s show time for ‘Call Time’

The suspense is almost over for those waiting to watch the thriller movie filmed here. “Call Time,” which features a Columbia County native and was shot at a house in Alachua and a convenience store in between High Springs and Lake City, will be released on multiple streaming platforms Tuesday.

Parade of Homes set for smaller return April 24-25

The 2021 Parade of Homes may be smaller in size, but not in stature. The premier new-home building showcase for the year, which is a partnership of the Lake City Reporter and the Columbia County Builder’s Association, returns April 24-25, with six homes on the parade.
