Olustee battle ends: County commission approves deeding park back to city

The battle for Olustee Park is over.
On Thursday evening, Columbia County officials voted in favor of conveying park ownership to the City of Lake City through a statutory county deed, with the stipulation that the Battle of Olustee Confederate monument not be destroyed.

Parade of Homes set for smaller return April 24-25

The premier new-home building showcase for the year, which is a partnership of the Lake City Reporter and the Columbia County Builder’s Association, returns April 24-25, with six homes on the parade.
