With campaign season already in full swing, one local forum is set to host a wide array of leaders and candidates across the political spectrum. The Richardson Community Center will host its Summer Fest 2022 event on Saturday.

The July 4 festivities packed a little too much firepower in northeast Lake City. What a pair of victims originally believed to be fireworks being set off in their neighborhood on NE Cherry Lane turned out to be gunfire, according to the Lake City Police Department.

ST. JACOB, Ill. — A plane crash Saturday claimed the life of a Lake City man. According to information from the Illinois State Police, a White Piper Comanche 250 took off from St. Louis Metro East Airport in St. Jacob, Ill.

Catholic Charities facing food ‘crisis’

If you don’t have food, what do you do? That is the question that some Catholic Charities clients — as well as the agency itself — are currently facing.
