Passing through downtown Lake City, three victims told officers they heard gunfire from a red Dodge Charger as they were headed east on Franklin Street around 4:45 p.m. Saturday.

COLUMBIA CITY — A helicopter crash Saturday morning in southern Columbia County led to just minor injuries.
Late Saturday morning, deputies from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office responded to Sedgefield Lane and State Road 47 to reports of a helicopter crash, which crashed alongside the roadway.

O’Brien woman charged in check scheme

O’BRIEN — A Suwannee County woman is being brought up on charges nearly a year after a traffic stop resulted in a Sheriff’s deputy’s arrest.
Mary Katheryn Morgan, 39, was arrested on March 31, according to a Florida Department of Law Enforcement release.
