FGC plans pair of ‘One-Stop Enrollment Days’

Prospective college students can complete the enrollment process at Florida Gateway College in one day, at least twice this summer. FGC is hosting a pair of “One-Stop Enrollment Days” for the fall semester. The first of the two days is June 16 with the other planned for July 21 at the Wilson S.

Fort White motorcyclist critically hurt in crash

HIGH SPRINGS — A Fort White motorcyclist was hospitalized Monday after being ejected from his bike in Alachua County. A 22-year-old Fort White man was driving south on U.S. Hwy. 41 on his 2004 Harley Davidson when he abruptly braked around 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Burnham, others to be honored at Public Service Memorial

The late Chief Randy Burnham served as a Lake City Firefighter for more than 30 years, often risking his life in the line of duty to protect others and their property. Burnham passed away last year in a Gainesville Hospital after fighting a nearly monthlong battle with covid-19.

FGC makes pitch to Lake Shore
