TRENTON — Zuri Hollie and Israel Hart combined for over 40 points for the second consecutive postseason game for Fort White. This time, with the district title on the line, defeating host Trenton for the third straight time this season didn’t prove to be the cakewalk it started out to be.

Will Columbia still make the playoffs? The odds still look good for the Tigers, who will find out for sure today. A 61-48 loss to Leon in the District 2-5A semifinals on Wednesday has Columbia waiting anxiously for the Region 1-5A playoff bracket, which will be unveiled at 2 p.m. today.

Columbia could never climb back from a double-digit deficit. Now the Tigers await their playoff fate. No. 3 seed Columbia trailed by double digits for most of the second half and eventually fell to No. 2 seed Leon 61-48 in the District 2-5A semifinals at Leon on Wednesday night.

FORT WHITE — One of Fort White’s most dynamic playmakers on both the football field and basketball court is officially college-bound. Tafari Moe signed his letter of intent to continue his football career at Harvard University during National Signing Day at FWHS on Wednesday morning.
