A six-run first inning propelled Suwannee to a 7-0 win over Yulee at home Friday night.
Kyler Watson finished 2 for 2 with a double and two RBIs for the Bulldogs (8-5) as they won their fourth straight. Dillon Greene, Koy Frier, Gabe Garcia and Grayson Bonds each added an RBI in the win.
Garcia pitched three hitless innings, striking out four. Greene also struck out four while allowing two hits in a pair of innings, while Watson pitched three innings and allowed two hits and a walk while striking out a pair of Hornets (6-8).
BASEBALL
— Branford 10, Bronson 0: Patrick Williams went 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs while Holston Frazier also had two RBIs and a double on a 2-for-3 night to lead the Buccaneers (9-5) to a run-rule win over the Eagles (2-9) in five innings at home Friday night. Jackson Skinner, E’nalee Perry, Troy Roberts and Kenneth Ford all added an RBI apiece in the win. Skinner pitched all five innings, striking out 10 while allowing two hits and two walks.
SOFTBALL
— Suwannee 14, Hamilton County 3: Maylee Gabey went 3 for 3 with four RBIs while Brianna Woods homered and had two RBIs on a 2-for-4 night to lead the Bulldogs (5-4) to a run-rule win over the Trojans (3-6) in five innings at home Friday night for their third straight win. Addison Peterson also finished 3 for 3 with an RBI and Gracie Watley, Felicity May, Kayden Green and Emalyn Watley added an RBI apiece as well. Green pitched three innings and allowed an earned run on four hits with two strikeouts, while Peterson allowed two earned runs on three hits and a walk with three strikeouts in two innings.
