NFL: Jaguars place 4 rookies on reserve/covid list

JACKSONVILLE — The Jacksonville Jaguars placed four rookies on the team’s reserve/covid-19 list Monday. Defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton, a third-round pick, and cornerback Josiah Scott, a fourth-round selection, headlined the list.

BOYS BASKETBALL: Columbia SG Kenney Gaines signs with Marion Military Institute

Basketball isn’t over for Columbia shooting guard Kenney Gaines. That comes as no surprise after Gaines helped lead the Tigers to the state Final Four this past season. Gaines signed his letter of intent for play for Marion Military Institute on Saturday, a junior college in Alabama.

NFL: Players, owners agree on opt-out guidelines, more to open camps

NFL training camps are set to open after the league and the players’ union reached agreement on several issues, including future salary cap mechanisms and how players can opt out of the upcoming season because of the coronavirus.
